Install Microsoft Office 2010 in Ubuntu 12.04

Hi everyone. This is a very quick screenshot post of how to install Microsoft Office 2010 in Ubuntu using PlayOnLinux. I have used the latest version of PlayOnLinux (4.0.16) running on a Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 ( updated 24th March) 64bit machine. The screenshots speak for themselves.

  1. I have a .exe installer and not a disc or iso , in the misc section there is run a exe file option , I used that and my install failed to go through.

There error was some thing related to .Net framework its trying to find in c:

I am on ubuntu 12.04 with gnome 3.4 UI

    1. I would say Office 2007 performs better than 2010. There is not much difference between the two unless you want the more cosmetic changes of 2010. If you have 2007, the file extension is the same.

  2. I have tryed this on a clean 64 bit virtual box installation of ubuntu12.04. After I clicked on 'Next' on the second screen showed here above it stops doing anything. Have anyone a idea why? (Sorry about my english style of writing, i am not that good)
