A few months back I blogged about zattoo player pulling a plug on linux support as they complained of funding issues . However,they said they will be launching a browser compatible version of the player soon. Remembering that I typed zattoo on my address bar in firefox. Firefox took me to the zattoo main page straigtaway. What I saw on the front page made my jaw drop!
I was staring into the download page of a brand new Zattoo Linux player . Wooohaaa!!!
It now sports a stunning new slick interface.
The player is downloadable a 32bit deb file but it can be installed on the 64bit Ubuntu and its derivaties as well.
sudo dpkg -i –force-architechture zattoo*.deb
However, it needs 32bit flash player. It does not run on 64 bit flash

Zattoo is now also available as an iPhone app in Switzerland, and soon on other countries. iPad version also in preparation, and launching soon.
