Gwibber developers have been quick to react to the bug reports filed for Google Buzz and Facebook.
A bug which stopped Gwibber from displaying Buzz updates was reported few weeks back. It turned out Gwibber was using the wrong authentication protocol.
The other bug, a regression, where the Facebook images wont load if a separate stream is selected for it.
These two bugs were fixed in the release 2.32. Current version of Gwibber on Ubuntu 10.10 is 2.31.0.1.
You can upgrade using the Gwibber daily ppa.
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:gwibber-daily/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade gwibber
You can remove the ppa after the upgrade from the software sources which can be found under software centre .
Better “upgrade” than “uprade” 🙂
oh!! thanx for pointing that out. 🙂
google buzz still does not work for me! facebook is addable tough…
Man, talk about a fantastic post! I?ve stumbled across your blog a few times within the past, but I usually forgot to bookmark it. But not again! Thanks for posting the way you do, I genuinely appreciate seeing someone who actually has a viewpoint and isn?t really just bringing back up crap like nearly all other writers today. Keep it up!
I am running this update, and I cannot add Facebook, nor does Google Buzz work after adding it. Its a huge disappointment that Ubuntu was packaged with such broken garbage this release.
I upgrade, and now only can add Facebook, Twitter, and Identica!!! Where is Buzz?
