Many of you, like me, would like to upgrade your kernel. If you’re running Ubuntu 14.04 or 14.04.1 with the current versions of Xorg and the Linux kernel, you will not get the upgrade automatically. You will need to run the following command  in a terminal :

Kernel Installation

sudo apt-get install --install-recommends linux-generic-lts-utopic xserver-xorg-lts-utopic libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-utopic libegl1-mesa-drivers-lts-utopic
Once the installation is complete, restart to use the latest kernel.
Please note: installation of a new kernel and new video driver may result in issues with your display driver. Please be careful . The author claims no responsibility if such incidents occur.
