SeaMonkey 2.3 Beta 1 released

The SeaMonkey Project has announced the release of the first beta for version 2.3 of its “all-in-one internet application suite”. According to the latest SeaMonkey Meeting Minutes, the final version of SeaMonkey 2.3 is expected to arrive on 16 August, the same day updates to Firefox, including version 6.0 and 3.6.20, are scheduled.
Aimed at developers, testers and early adopters, SeaMonkey 2.3 Beta 1 is based on the same Gecko browser engine as Firefox 6 and includes improvements to WebGL that allow it to work on more Linux systems. Other changes include fixes to Composer related to changing image sizes and the removal of support for Microsummaries.
