This week, LibreOffice has 3.5.5 RC3 and 3.6 Beta 3 available for testers to download and test.
Bugs fixed against 3.5.5 RC2 are:
- Cannot open xlsx file
- legacy reports: asks for parameters, then for empty parameters list then CRASH
For, the LibreOffice 3.6 series, Beta 3 brings a long list of changes against the previous release
of Beta 2. The complete change log can be accessed here:
Important: These releases, as usual, are for testers and developers and are not recommended for production systems.
Installation in Ubuntu based distributions
If you want to test LibreOffice 3.6, for Ubuntu based distributions you can install the ppa.
If you have the LibreOffice PPA, you will need to remove the ppa before adding the newppa, otherwise there may be conflicts while installation of packages. LibreOffice 3.6 Beta 3 is not yet available in the repository.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-prereleases
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
