Oneiric Ocelot (Ubuntu 11.10) updates

As of today, 20th August, there are quite a few changes that have come in the latest builds of Oneiric Ocelot (Ubuntu 11.10 ). With feature freeze now in place, there will be no more new features now. So, expect the changes that have come in the to-be released version, to be there in the final release.
Today’s update, updates Firefox to version 7 which is still in beta, however, will turn gold by the time Ubuntu 11.10 is released. Thunderbird is still in version 6 but will be turning 7 soon. A new icon ,a punch of power off and settings icons have replaced the more traditional looking poweroff icon.
The dash looks much better now, polished and elegant. The search functionality is still broken but hopefully it will be ironed out before the release.
The Light DM does not work on my 1920×1280 screen. It’s broken as well. Surprisingly it works in Virtualbox!
I have made a video of the changes which you can see below or view it directly on the youtube channel, tuxtrixlive.
