Oracle
released the fifth stable version of its popular visualization sofware, Virtualbox 4.0 (4.0.10) which addresses issues for GNOME 3.0, adds support for VT-x on Linux 3.0 kernel and also corrects a regression which affected 64bit Solaris guest installations.

Mac OS X users can now enjoy a smooth experience of any Linux distribution running the gnome-shell. There are quite a number of bug fixes and a few regression fixes. Here are a few of them:
- Mac OS X hosts: Lion fixes
- Mac OS X hosts: GNOME 3 fix
- Linux hosts: fixed VT-x detection on Linux 3.0 hosts
- Linux hosts: fixed Python 2.7 bindings in the universal Linux binaries
- Windows hosts: fixed leak of thread and process handles
- Windows Additions: fixed bug when determining the extended version of the Guest Additions (4.0.8 regression)
- Solaris Additions: fixed installation to 64-bit Solaris 10u9 guests (4.0.8 regression)
